Pineapple Takes ‘The Next Step’ In Its 40th Anniversary Year
Pineapple founder Debbie Moore, OBE has announced an exciting partnership between Pineapple Dance Studios and ‘The Next Step’, the hugely popular TV dance series that has achieved ratings success worldwide.
The partnership marks one of the many events planned for Pineapple’s 40th anniversary year celebrations in 2019. The new partnership will see Pineapple host ‘The Next Step’-themed workshops, open to the public, as part of Pineapple Events at the dance studios. Taught by Pineapple tutors, the workshops will include original music and choreography, featuring popular dance solos and A-Troupe dance routines, from various seasons of the series.
Debbie says, “I am very excited to announce this TNS x Pineapple partnership. The show is tremendously popular with young dancers and dance fans, and I am just so happy that viewers will be able to live out their passion for dance at Pineapple by joining us for all ‘The Next Step’ activities we have planned at the studios throughout the year.”
A new feature of the dance workshops will be the opportunity for students to present a final 'The Next Step' performance for family and friends at Pineapple Dance Studios on the day of the workshops. Pineapple Events Manager Jenny Luard says, “This is the first time we have included a performance in any of our Pineapple Events workshops, and we believe students will jump at the chance to really connect with the show by performing some of the iconic routines from the series.”
The partnership between Pineapple and ‘The Next Step’ will be launched officially at the ‘Move It’ dance event at London’ ExCel exhibition centre in March 2019. Tickets for the first ‘The Next Step’ events at Pineapple Dance Studios will be on-sale at Move It and online from 08 March 2019.
